Armed Attack in Kyrenia: One Injured
An unidentified assailant or assailants opened fire on a business along University Road in Kyrenia during the early hours of June 20, 2025, leaving one employee injured.
According to a statement from the police press office, the incident occurred around 1:30 AM when gunshots were fired at the premises.
One employee was shot in the leg and was transported to Kyrenia Dr. Akçiçek Hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed that an investigation is ongoing into charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and explosives, discharging a weapon in a residential area, and causing bodily harm.
