Ataser explained that the site, located near the coast, had previously relied on a package treatment system that proved insufficient. “Because the septic wells filled up quickly, residents had to call a vacuum truck every two to three days and cover the cost themselves,” he said.

Emphasizing that the municipality worked in consultation with local residents, Ataser stated, “We began the project with the consent of the residents. An agreement was reached, £1,000 was collected, and the installation of the new system was initiated. The system will be activated this week with the connection of electricity to the sewage line.”

Ataser noted that 127 households will benefit from the completed project. “This issue has been on our agenda since I took office. Property owners had long been demanding a solution. The package treatment system was both inadequate and costly. With the new sewage line, the problem has now been permanently resolved,” he added.
