TDP Leader Slams Özersay Over “Wealth Declaration Law” Remarks

In a social media post, Çeler lashed out at Özersay, saying:
“Kudret Hoca claims the ‘Wealth Declaration Law’ couldn’t pass because the four-party coalition didn’t support it. If you hadn’t brought down that government, none of this would have happened! Stop looking for scapegoats! You later formed another government—was anyone stopping you from passing those laws?”

The law, known in Turkish as the Nereden Buldun Yasası, has once again sparked political debate. Özersay alleged that a lack of backing from coalition partners during his tenure in the four-party government prevented its enactment. However, Çeler's response highlights lingering tensions over the collapse of that coalition and the shifting responsibilities that followed.
