Speaking at the event, Üstel reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to fulfilling promises made to the public, stating, “We will complete the unfinished projects left by unstable governments and implement key reforms. As a government entering our fourth year, we are proud to bring to life what couldn’t be achieved between 2013 and 2022 through our protocols with the Republic of Turkey.”

“TRNC Will Be Recognised as an Information Technology Hub”

Emphasising that the fibre optic protocol would be implemented through mutual agreement without disadvantaging any stakeholders, Üstel said the initiative would elevate the TRNC to a globally recognised position as an information technology island. He added that sectors such as tourism, education, and software would be reshaped with a modern and visionary approach. “People will be able to conduct their business easily from their homes, workplaces, or shops,” he said.

Concluding his speech, Üstel stated, “Despite those who said we couldn’t do it, we are realising each project one by one with the support of the Republic of Turkey.”
