Tatar Highlights Importance of Digital Vision
President Ersin Tatar underlined the growing strength of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as an independent Turkish state during his remarks at the signing ceremony of the “Fiber Transformation Protocol.”
Speaking at the event, Tatar emphasized the significance of the digital transformation vision voiced at Teknofest, referring to Selçuk Bayraktar’s statement that a digital revolution could turn the “Blue Homeland” into an information hub. He described these words as deeply meaningful.
Tatar expressed his gratitude to those who continue investing in the TRNC despite international isolation and embargoes. He stressed that the country’s communication infrastructure and global connectivity will be greatly enhanced through the new undersea fiber optic cables, further integrating the TRNC with the rest of the world.
Following Tatar’s speech, the Fiber Transformation Protocol was officially signed.
