Late-Night Brawl in Nicosia Leaves Two Injured, One Arrested
A violent altercation between two groups in Nicosia in the early hours of 13 July resulted in injuries and the arrest of one individual, police confirmed.
According to a statement from the Police Press Office, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m., when a heated argument between the two groups quickly escalated into a physical fight. The parties involved were identified as A.A. (22), A.T. (21), M.T. (24), N.T. (18), and H.A.A. (20) on one side, and O.K. (44), S.K. (21), A.H. (22), C.H. (26), C.A. (39), and A.N. (32) on the other.
Police reported that the groups exchanged blows and shouted loudly, causing a disturbance in the area. During the clash, H.A.A. allegedly fractured O.K.’s right orbital bone and S.K.’s nasal bone.
The injured were transported to hospital for treatment, and H.A.A. was arrested at the scene. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the other individuals involved, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
