Held at the Adıyaman 1st High Criminal Court, the trial involves public officials who were in office when the hotel was granted construction permits. Those on trial include former Deputy Mayor Osman Bulut, Permit Office Chief Bilal Balcı, Planning and Zoning Director Mehmet Salih Alkayış, municipal worker Abdurrahman Karaaslan, as well as former Zoning Director Yusuf Gül and Permit Office Technician Fazlı Karakuş, who were involved in the 1993 permit process.

The case, which began on April 24, was filed on charges of “conscious negligence.”

During Wednesday's hearing, the presiding judge noted that the report from Dokuz Eylül University, which was expected to determine the degree of fault among the public officials, had not yet been submitted, and the hearing was adjourned to November 6.

No arrests were made following the session, and the court did not rule on any detention requests.
