Fidan and Christodoulides Hold One-on-One Meeting in New York
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides held a private one-hour meeting on the sidelines of the informal expanded-format summit on Cyprus in New York, hosted by the United Nations.
According to Philenews, the meeting was a significant development during the summit, which brought together key stakeholders in the Cyprus issue.
During their one-on-one discussion, Fidan and Christodoulides reportedly focused on EU–Turkey relations. Christodoulides is said to have expressed his readiness to support efforts aimed at strengthening ties between the European Union and Turkey.
