New Minimum Wage to Be Announced on Monday

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission convened for a second time to set the second minimum wage increase for 2025, with an official announcement expected on Monday.

Labour and Social Security Minister Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, speaking during the meeting, said, “We are putting all the data on the table. We are making every effort to fulfill our promise to workers by Monday at the latest.”
Gardiyanoğlu stressed that the minimum wage cannot be determined unilaterally: “Ideally, we want a unanimous decision. We only managed that once; it hasn’t been the case in recent rounds. Shortly, both sides will present their data. A fair and scientifically grounded decision will be made.”
He also noted that a cabinet meeting was scheduled for 5 p.m. and reiterated the government’s commitment to finalising the wage decision on Monday. “It is our duty to keep the public accurately informed. There are high expectations from this table, and I open this meeting with that awareness,” he added.
