Water Supply to Nicosia Halted Due to Power Outage
The nationwide power outage has also affected Nicosia’s water supply, with no water being pumped from the Geçitköy Dam to the capital.
In a statement, the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) announced that water could not be delivered from the Geçitköy Dam due to the outage. The municipality urged residents to use water sparingly until the electricity problem is resolved.
“Due to the nationwide power outage, no water is being supplied from the Geçitköy Dam to our city. Please use water responsibly until the electricity issue is resolved,” the statement read.
