Greek Cypriot Foreign Ministry Congratulates Historic Armenia-Azerbaijan Peace Agreement
The Greek Cypriot Foreign Ministry announced that the “groundbreaking” peace agreement signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan creates a new dynamic for lasting peace and prosperity in the region. The ministry also extended congratulations to U.S. President Donald Trump for his contribution to the agreement.
According to a report in Haravgi newspaper, the ministry’s statement on the “X” platform described the historic accord as opening significant prospects for genuine peace and stability in the area.
The Greek Cypriot side emphasized that the agreement is based on full respect for the normalization process between the two countries, as well as mutual recognition of each other’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolable borders.
In its statement, the Foreign Ministry also praised President Trump for his decisive role in reaching the agreement.
