Syrian Child Under Protection to Be Reunited with Family in Turkey
A 13-year-old Syrian boy, M.A., who was located within the TRNC borders after being reported missing in Southern Cyprus on August 6, has been placed under the care of Tangül Ünal Çağıner Sevgi Evi under the supervision of the Social Services Department, in cooperation with the TRNC Police. The child received necessary social services and protection during this period.
According to the Social Services Department, M.A.’s health is reported as good. His family has been confirmed to be in Turkey, and contact has been established. Following completion of all legal procedures, the child will be safely reunited with his family.
The TRNC authorities are closely monitoring the process, which is being conducted in accordance with international child protection and rights standards.
