Police officer Fadıl Metin told the court that on August 13, authorities received a tip about a vehicle left under eucalyptus trees containing drugs, prompting the launch of the operation. On August 14, Akartürk arrived at the scene, opened the vehicle, and attempted to interfere with its contents. He tried to flee after locking the car, but was apprehended.

A search of the vehicle revealed more than 1 kilogram of assorted narcotics, a precision scale, 3,215 TL, 640 Euros, and a glass jar. Akartürk reportedly denied the allegations and refused to provide his phone password to police.

Authorities said the seized substances have been sent for analysis, fingerprint examinations are ongoing on plastic wrappings, and further evidence will be obtained from camera footage and witness statements.

After reviewing the testimony, Judge Şevket Gazi ordered that Akartürk remain in custody for seven more days.
