Hatay-Ercan Flights Resume on September 1

Pegasus Airlines will resume flights to Hatay Airport, which was closed after the February 6 earthquakes, starting September 1.

The airline announced that services to Hatay, which has been out of operation since the February 6, 2023 earthquakes, will restart from September 1.

Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, stated that the first phase of repairs at Hatay Airport, damaged during the February 6 earthquakes, is nearly complete. He added that in September, the 2,720-meter auxiliary runway and a new apron with a capacity for 10 aircraft will be put into service.

Pegasus Airlines also shared on its social media account: “Direct flights to Hatay resume on September 1. You can fly directly from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Northern Cyprus to Hatay.”

The airline will operate seven weekly flights on the Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen-Hatay route and four weekly flights on the Northern Cyprus-Hatay route.
