According to the Police General Directorate, officers assigned to the newly introduced Tourism Police are fluent in foreign languages and trained in first aid. They will patrol the designated tourism zone — covering the Merit Royal Gardens Hotel, Makenzi Beach, Cem Dana Luna Park, Grand Sapphire Hotel, Royal Sun Residence, Courtyard Residence, Caesar Resort, and Zagidas Patisserie — on foot or by bicycle. Their duties include preventing crimes, responding to traffic or criminal incidents, and carrying out identity and residency permit checks when needed.

A Mobile Police Station has been set up on the coastal walking path in İskele to support the initiative. The Tourism Police teams will be on duty between May and September, from 14:00 to 23:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 24:00 on weekends and public holidays.

During patrols, officers will also provide first aid to individuals in need, including those at risk of drowning, and ensure public order by removing disruptive individuals and referring cases to relevant police units.
