In a statement, the Ministry clarified:

“The remarks attributed to an individual claimed to be an advisor to Minister Erhan Arıklı, regarding the import of left-hand drive vehicles and changing traffic direction, date back to discussions held years ago on this topic. Unfortunately, these statements are being circulated as if they were made today.

Our Ministry has no agenda to permit the import of left-hand drive vehicles or to change the direction of traffic. Persistent publications suggesting otherwise are misleading and should not be trusted.”
