9 Declared Prohibited Immigrants, 16 Banned from Entering the Country

The Council of Ministers has declared nine individuals as prohibited immigrants and barred 16 others from entering the TRNC on the grounds of their links to foreign-based criminal organisations.

According to security reports attached to the proposal, the individuals were found to be involved in illegal activities such as “serious assault, shootings, and wilful damage” and connected to criminal groups, engaging in behaviour that threatens public order, administrative order, or public morality.
Declared Prohibited Immigrants
Under Article 6(1)(g) of Chapter 105 of the Aliens and Immigration Law, the following individuals—eight Turkish citizens and one German national—were declared prohibited immigrants:

Entry Bans to the TRNC
Under Article 7 of Chapter 105 of the Aliens and Immigration Law, entry to the TRNC has been banned for the following 16 individuals—15 Turkish citizens and one Portuguese national:
