Şahali: It Is the Youth Who Will Start the Change

Attending the closing of the congress, Şahali expressed pride in the unity and democratic spirit shown by the youth. In a social media post, he highlighted their determination and sense of responsibility.

“After their call of ‘BE THE ONE TO START THE CHANGE!’ we attended yesterday’s closing of the 4th Turkish Cypriot Youth Congress. ‘THE FUTURE IS COMING!’ said Congress and Youth Federation President Mustafa Özbilgehan in his address. Seven committees and many technical groups worked together for two days with young people from different backgrounds, organizations, and parties, producing remarkable results.

What I witnessed yesterday in the hall made me say: ‘CHANGE HAS BEGUN.’ I felt proud of our youth. I admired their mature, responsible, and democratic attitude. While we work to build a more livable country for our children, they stood up and declared, ‘THIS COUNTRY IS OURS, WE ARE READY!’ — proving it with their ideas. This morning, I step outside with greater confidence and determination because yesterday I once again saw dozens of brothers and sisters who are already starting the change. The future has already arrived…”
