PM Üstel: Yavuz Landing Beach Will Remain Open to the Public

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel dismissed claims that Yavuz Landing Beach would be leased to a private company, affirming that the project will continue under the control of the Foundations Administration and remain open for public use.

Addressing recent speculation, Üstel explained that parts of the beach belong to the Peace Forces and the Foundations Administration. He noted that during a previous government’s term, the land had been leased to private investors and operated for many years. With the lease now expired, the Peace Forces and Foundations Administration have launched works for an underpass and modernization projects.
Üstel stressed that once completed, the project will return the beach to public service under the Foundations Administration, rejecting reports of privatization as unfounded. He urged the public to verify information shared on social media through reliable sources.
Despite false allegations against him and election-driven manipulations, Üstel said the government remains committed to prioritizing the public interest. He added that the beach will soon be reopened with a more modern and attractive design.
Condemning disrespectful remarks targeting martyrs and veterans, Üstel recalled the government’s past measures in support of their families. He concluded by honoring those who sacrificed their lives for freedom and expressing gratitude to the veterans.
