In a written statement, the party criticized last-minute appointments, issued permits, and employment decisions, saying: “Our people will hold those who shamelessly exploit public resources accountable at the ballot box. CTP will work with the public to change this mentality and build a just and equitable future.”

CTP highlighted long-standing issues such as unallocated rural land, threats of job dismissals, and numerous unfair employments. The party condemned the publication of 228 pages of Official Gazette decisions just a day before election restrictions as “a complete disgrace.”

Among the last-minute measures, CTP cited 148 notary appointments, 2,500 transporter permits, 124 exceptional citizenships, 600 unpublished firearm licenses, and property rentals. These were described as the reflection of a mindset “that loves its office more than the country.” The statement added that such actions by ministries are not only unethical but also threaten social justice and public security, seriously undermining citizens’ trust in institutions.

CTP criticized the presidency for failing to prevent these practices and turning them into political spectacles during official ceremonies. Emphasizing that state resources belong to the public and cannot serve any political campaign, the party called for transparent and planned management as a constitutional duty.

Concluding, CTP warned that these practices have deeply disturbed the public, harmed the sense of justice, and threatened social peace, adding: “Anyone who sees Cyprus as their home and family will respond to this corruption. The real issue is not preserving office but building a homeland where our children can grow up safely. We will not surrender to darkness.”
