Arıklı: “T” Permits Suspended Pending Further Review
Minister of Public Works and Transportation Erhan Arıklı announced that the controversial distribution of “T” permits has been suspended, and a final decision will be made after consultations with industry representatives.
Arıklı stated that the Traffic Permit Board had recently issued the permits, which sparked public debate, and that a new review of the permits would now take place.
On his social media account, the minister said he had instructed the Traffic Department to halt the notification and distribution of the permits.
Arıklı added that necessary steps would be taken following upcoming meetings and consultations with sector representatives. He concluded by saying: “This is announced to the public with due respect.”
