In a written statement, Denktaş criticized the government for taking these measures without assessing their necessity. He also alleged that claims the decisions were reversed due to the President’s intervention were politically motivated ahead of the presidential election. He described the decisions as “bribery,” calling them criminal acts.

Denktaş indicated that TAM Party is preparing for a potential early election following the presidential vote. He stated the party will participate in the first general elections with a team of well-educated professionals from all sectors. He highlighted that 35% of the founding members are women, with active youth participation and members joining from other parties, forming what he described as “a strong, capable team ready to be a powerful partner in government.”

Emphasizing the party’s commitment to the interests of the Turkish Cypriot community, Denktaş added: “We will build a relationship with Turkey grounded in cultural and historical ties, reinforced by mutual respect, maintaining strong consultation with Turkey’s elected governments.”
