Workplace Accidents in Kyrenia and Ozanköy: Two Injured
Two separate workplace accidents occurred on August 27, 2025, in Kyrenia and Ozanköy, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
In Kyrenia, 49-year-old Mehmet Salim Yağcı fell approximately 7.47 meters while working on a water line connection outside a residence. He lost his balance on a ladder and was taken to Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where he was placed under observation in the General Surgery Intensive Care Unit following initial treatment.
In Ozanköy, 45-year-old Recep Zeytuncu, an employee at a furniture store, injured his fingers when his left hand was caught in a spiral wood-cutting machine while cutting particleboard. Zeytuncu received treatment at the General Surgery Department of Lefkoşa Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital and was kept under observation.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
