CTP: Peace Is the Only Path to a Secure Future
The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) has released a statement emphasizing that peace is not merely a political goal, but a fundamental principle of existence. “We will always stand on the side of peace,” the party affirmed.
The statement highlighted the heavy toll of past conflicts and ongoing wars around the world, stressing that humanity continues to pay a high price for the absence of justice and security.
According to CTP, true peace can only be achieved when justice, equality, and human dignity are safeguarded. The statement described peace as the foundation for a society where children can look to the future with hope, women live free from violence, and young people can pursue their dreams in their own country.
“Peace in Cyprus means an end to uncertainty, a future built on equality and security. Peace is participating in the world with our social identity, rights, and equality,” the statement read.
CTP underlined that peace is not just a political objective for the party, but an existential ideal. The party pledged to continue promoting brotherhood and reconciliation despite forces that fuel conflict: “We will continue working to establish peace on our island and in the world. The only future this people and this world deserve is one in peace. And we will always stand on the side of peace.”
