Heavy Rain and Thunderstorm Warning for Today and Tomorrow
According to the Meteorology Department, a cool and moist air mass in the upper atmosphere will bring heavy rain and thunderstorms to the region today and tomorrow. The rest of the week is expected to be generally clear with minimal cloud cover.
The forecast for September 6–12 indicates that the area will mostly be influenced by a low-pressure system combined with warm and relatively humid air. However, today and tomorrow, the upper-atmosphere cool and moist air will trigger localized heavy showers and thunderstorms.
Today will start clear and mostly sunny, turning partly cloudy by midday with occasional heavy rain and thunderstorms in some areas. Tuesday is expected to be partly cloudy with scattered showers, gradually clearing later in the day.
For the remainder of the week (Wednesday through Saturday), the weather will remain generally clear and mostly sunny.
Maximum temperatures are expected to range between 34–37°C inland and 30–33°C along the coast. Winds will blow from the south and west at moderate speeds, occasionally reaching strong gusts.
