Speaking on the party’s campaign and organizational efforts, Savaşan highlighted UBP’s active fieldwork, digital transformation projects, and structured election preparations, while emphasizing President Ersin Tatar’s international performance, two-state solution approach, and party strategy. He noted that under Başbakan Ünal Üstel, the party has operated as if elections are held every day, maintaining strong engagement with voters and consistent regional visits.
Savaşan detailed UBP’s digital initiatives, including an interactive website allowing citizens to track all party activities, and announced the launch of a Women’s Coordination Center in Lefkoşa. He stressed that the party’s organization is robust, with district committees and a 70-member core team actively coordinating election efforts.
Savaşan also highlighted President Tatar’s “proactive politics,” which has increased the visibility of Turkish Cypriots internationally, strengthened cooperation with Turkey, and facilitated new schools, aid, and projects. He criticized outdated UN parameters, noting that decades-old federated solution models have failed due to Greek Cypriot resistance and international biases. According to Savaşan, Erhürman’s election could jeopardize North Cyprus-Turkey relations, as Ankara would refuse to cooperate under a leadership unwilling to align with Turkey.
Emphasizing UBP’s productive track record, Savaşan said the party is the most active in the last decade, engaging citizens consistently and delivering effective results. He dismissed claims questioning UBP’s support for Tatar as unfair and misleading, reinforcing that all efforts aim to safeguard the rights and visibility of Turkish Cypriots on the international stage.
