168 Mukhtars to Meet Turkish Leaders in Ankara
Around 168 mukhtars from Northern Cyprus have traveled to Turkey. In Ankara, they are expected to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, and Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.
The visit, occurring just before the presidential election, has drawn attention. According to Kıbrıs Postası, the meeting was requested a year ago but was only scheduled now.
Some mukhtars reportedly did not join the delegation due to the timing coinciding with the upcoming election.
