Speaking on a program aired by Cyprus Genç TV, Arıklı said, “Those who complain about the cameras are potential offenders.”

Clarifying the removal, Arıklı explained that the cameras were still in the testing phase, and those that failed calibration checks were taken down. He emphasized that the cameras will be reinstalled.

‘COMPLAINERS ARE POTENTIAL OFFENDERS’

Arıklı also stated that the number of cameras will increase from 120 to 300, noting a reduction in accidents in areas where cameras have been installed.

He added, “Those who complain about the cameras are potential offenders. The rules are clear. Those who follow the rules have no issue with the cameras. Traffic violators do.”
