80 Traffic Accidents Recorded Between September 8–14: 2 Dead, 33 Injured

The Police Press Office reported that 80 traffic accidents occurred across the country between September 8 and 14.

Among these, one resulted in death, 22 in injuries, and 57 in material damage. The highest concentration of accidents was reported in the districts of Nicosia, Kyrenia, and Famagusta.

In the fatal accident, two people lost their lives, while 33 were injured in accidents involving casualties.

According to police data, the main causes of the accidents were speeding (24), careless driving (18), failure to stop at intersections (16), tailgating (13), and other factors (9). The total recorded material damage amounted to 5,322,085 TL.

  • Kyrenia: 33

  • Morphou: 3
