Onar Meets DiCarlo in New York
As part of his New York visit, Turkish Cypriot Presidential Special Envoy Güneş Onar held a meeting with Rosemary DiCarlo, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs.
The meeting, held at the UN Headquarters, focused on preparations for the trilateral meeting scheduled for Saturday, hosted by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and attended by President Ersin Tatar and Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Hristodulidis. Onar reportedly shared the Turkish Cypriot side’s perspectives on the agenda and conduct of the talks, with the discussions described as sincere and constructive.
Special Envoy Güneş Onar was accompanied in New York by Legal Advisor Sülen Karabacak, Coordinator for Confidence-Building Measures and Bilateral Technical Committees Seniha Birand Çınar, and diplomat Mustafa Erçakıca from the New York Mission.
