Five Greek Cypriots Trial Postponed Again...

The trial of five Greek Cypriot defendants in İskele District Court has been adjourned to October 1. Proceedings at the Military Court in Nicosia will continue on September 30.

The five Greek Cypriot defendants appeared again in İskele District Court today. The court ordered the hearing to be postponed to Wednesday, October 1, during which prosecution witnesses are expected to testify.
Meanwhile, the trial of the defendants facing charges of “violating a military restricted area” at the Military Court in Nicosia will continue on September 30.
G.G. (M-66) was arrested on July 19 around 16:00 after entering the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus through the Akyar Land Gate in Famagusta without completing immigration procedures and violating a military restricted area. The driver, A.K. (M-60), and the other passengers in the vehicle, A.K. (F-60), N.G. (F-63), and A.L. (M-68), were also detained.
