Manavoğlu: No Room for Those Who Thrive on Division
Former MP Gülşah Sanver Manavoğlu has called for the upcoming presidential election not to be seen merely as a contest between two policies, stressing the need for social consensus and change.
In a post on social media, Manavoğlu said, “There is no room for those who thrive on polarization and division. I have been saying from day one that we should not be dragged into a game that frames this election as a race between two policies. Nobody should fall for this.”
She said the TRNC urgently needs change, noting that the discontent and unrest across society underline the importance of this election.
“That is why I have chosen to be on the right side of history in this election. I sense and hear that the vast majority of society feels the same. We are moving towards a period where we will come together, achieve social consensus, and build the future for our children,” she added.
