The protest called for the removal of both British bases and the American military presence from Cyprus. The action, which was also supported by the Labour-oriented Independence Path party, involved a march from the courts in southern Nicosia to the British High Commission of the Republic of Cyprus.

The protest was held simultaneously with similar actions in the United Kingdom and the United States.

During the demonstration, participants emphasized that British bases were being used in operations against Gaza and reiterated demands for both British and American military facilities to be removed from the island.

The protesters also criticized the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, and his government, accusing them of complicity in these activities. They warned that as long as the bases remain, Cyprus cannot be truly independent, and peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved.
