Nine Fires Cause Nearly 1.365 Million TL in Damages

The Police General Directorate (PGD) reported that between September 22 and 28, nine fires across the country caused approximately 1,364,500 TL in material losses.

The likely causes of the fires included electrical short circuits, sparks from cutting scrap vehicles with spiral machines, children playing with lighters igniting paper, and uncontrolled open flames.
During the same period, 30 special service incidents were recorded, including rescuing people trapped in elevators, balconies, or on cliffs; saving cats stuck in trees, vehicle engines, water pipes, storage tanks, and utility poles; taking fire safety precautions; conducting fire safety training; and transporting deceased individuals to hospitals for forensic investigations.
