Denktaş Warns: “TRNC Founding Declaration Being Thrown Away for Votes”
Founder of the TAM Party, Serdar Denktaş, criticized the submission of the two-state solution model to the Assembly, warning that the TRNC’s Founding Declaration, which was established by unanimous agreement, is being risked for political gain.
In a social media post, Denktaş wrote: “There are those trying to throw the TRNC Founding Declaration, agreed upon unanimously, into the trash for the sake of votes. Recognize them…”
Denktaş pointed out that UBP Leader and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel submitted the two-state solution proposal to the Assembly, noting that the legislature had not made any decisions on the Cyprus issue for many years, and expressed concern over attempts to bypass unanimity for political purposes.
