Parliamentary Committee to Debate Two-State Solution Proposal on October 6

The Parliamentary Committee on Legal, Political Affairs, Foreign Relations and Defence will convene on October 6 to discuss a proposal calling for a “two-state solution to the Cyprus problem.”

The proposal was submitted by MPs from the National Unity Party (UBP), the Democratic Party (DP), the Re-Birth Party (YDP) led by Erhan Arıklı, and independent MP Hasan Tosunoğlu.
The session, scheduled for Monday at 10:30 a.m., will also include the participation of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) parliamentary group, which has been formally invited to attend.
Committee Chair Yasemi Öztürk, in her invitation letter, underlined the significance of the agenda and called on all parties to be present at the meeting.
