Ünal Üstel: Aliyev’s Reaffirmed Support a Source of Pride for Our People
UBP leader and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel praised Azerbaijan President İlham Aliyev for reiterating his support for the TRNC, describing it as a source of great pride for the Turkish Cypriot community.
Commenting on the meeting between President Aliyev and TRNC President Ersin Tatar in Gebele, Üstel said:
"Azerbaijan’s President İlham Aliyev once again emphasizing his support for the TRNC during his meeting with our President Ersin Tatar is a matter of great pride for our people."
Üstel highlighted the strategic importance of the “one nation, three states” principle uniting Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the TRNC, noting that it strengthens the unity, solidarity, and shared future of the Turkish world.
He added that the Turkish Cypriot people take pride in being an integral part of the Turkish world as an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) and extended thanks to President Aliyev, President Tatar, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for their steadfast support of the TRNC.
