“Two-State Solution” Proposal to Be Reviewed in Committee on Oct. 8

The House of Representatives Committee has completed the second review of the “Two-State Solution on the Cyprus Issue” proposal, with the third review scheduled for the next meeting.

According to a statement from the House, the Committee on Legal, Political Affairs, Foreign Relations, and Defense convened today at 10:30 a.m., chaired by UBP MP Yasemi Öztürk, to examine the proposal submitted by members of the National Unity Party, Democratic Party MPs, Rebirth Party President Erhan Arıklı, and Nicosia Independent MP Hasan Tosunoğlu.
The committee completed the second review of the proposal, but as it is not urgent, the third review will take place at the next session.
Committee members attending the meeting included Vice Chair CTP MP Ongun Talat, UBP MPs Hasan Küçük and Hasan Taçoy, and CTP MP Ürün Solyalı.
Additionally, House Vice President and CTP MP Fazilet Özdenefe, Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı, Minister of Labor and Social Security Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, CTP MPs Erkut Şahali, Fikri Toros, Sami Özuslu, UBP MP Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, and Independent MPs Jale Refik Rogers and Ayşegül Baybars were also present.
