According to Cyprus Times and other local media, the funeral took place at the Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in the Greek Cypriot sector of Nicosia.

The ceremony drew significant media attention and was attended by Greek Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, former President Nikos Anastasiades, House and DISY President Annita Demetriou, AKEL Secretary-General Stefanos Stefanou, political figures, friends, and admirers of Clerides.

Political parties from both communities that had long participated with Keti Clerides in the bicommunal Ledra Palace meetings — held under the auspices of the Slovak Embassy — issued a joint statement expressing their sorrow, saying, “Cyprus has lost one of its most respected figures.”
