92 Traffic Accidents in a Week Across the Country: 1 Dead, 26 Injured

A total of 92 traffic accidents occurred across the country in a single week, resulting in one fatality and 26 injuries. Speeding, inattentive driving, and failure to stop at intersections were identified as the primary causes. During the same period, police checked 20,923 vehicles and fined 2,891 drivers.

Between October 6 and 12, 71 accidents caused property damage while 20 involved injuries. Breakdown of causes: 27 due to speeding, 19 due to careless driving, 23 for failing to stop at intersections, 13 for tailgating, and 10 from other factors. The total property damage was estimated at 4.12 million TL.
