Speaking on the program Herşey Masada hosted by Halil Esendağlı, Öztürkler discussed the election atmosphere and current political developments, delivering firm messages ahead of the vote.

Öztürkler said momentum was growing as election day approached, noting that rallies were drawing large, energetic crowds, particularly from the right-wing electorate. “The public’s engagement is a major source of motivation for us,” he said, adding that the strong turnout at campaign events would be reflected at the ballot box. He emphasized that the “energy in the field” was a clear sign that Tatar, the candidate of the Common Sense Alliance, would emerge victorious.

He pointed to strong participation in both rural areas and urban centers as evidence of voter determination. Describing the campaign as disciplined and well-organized, Öztürkler said teams were working hard to reach every segment of society. “We are fully aware of the seriousness of this election and are acting accordingly,” he said, highlighting the importance of direct contact with citizens in building trust.

Öztürkler stated that the Common Sense Alliance has a strong vision capable of meeting public expectations. He argued that policies implemented under President Tatar’s leadership have brought stability and that maintaining this stability requires continued public support. “The current administration has demonstrated a firm stance on foreign policy and national issues, and it is essential to preserve this course,” he said.

According to Öztürkler, the Turkish Cypriot people have moved away from “repeated and failed settlement models of the past” and are now seeking concrete, realistic policies. He claimed that the notion of federation no longer resonates with the public, as it does not align with current geopolitical realities or meet the community’s expectations. The Common Sense Alliance, he said, offers a more stable and assertive approach—both internationally and domestically—which voters clearly recognize.

Concluding his remarks, Öztürkler urged citizens to participate in the election, stressing the importance of voter turnout for a healthy democratic process. “Every vote counts,” he said. “High participation is essential to strengthen our democracy.”
