Trial of Greek Cypriot Defendants in İskele Continues

Two Greek Cypriot defendants, A.K. (M-60) and A.K. (F-60), appeared in the İskele District Court today as their trial resumed. The session, during which witnesses began to be heard, has been adjourned to Monday, November 3.

In previous hearings, the prosecution withdrew charges of “property violation” and “public nuisance” against five defendants, clearing them of those accusations. However, the trial for these two defendants continues.

During today’s session, a representative from the Immovable Property Commission was heard as a witness. It is expected that additional witnesses will be heard at the next hearing.

Separately, cases involving defendants charged with “violating a military restricted area” at the Nicosia Military Court are scheduled for Friday, November 7, and the defendants are currently standing trial without detention.
