President Tufan Erhürman visited Anıtkabir and laid a wreath at the mausoleum during his first official visit to Ankara. As part of his first overseas official visit, Erhürman began his program in Ankara with a visit to Anıtkabir.

During the visit, Erhürman, accompanied by his delegation, walked along the Lion’s Road to the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

After laying a wreath at the mausoleum and observing a moment of silence, President Erhürman proceeded to the Misak-ı Milli Tower to sign the Special Anıtkabir Guestbook.

Erhürman was accompanied on the visit by his wife Nilden Bektaş Erhürman, TRNC Ambassador to Ankara İsmet Korukoğlu, Presidential Undersecretary Mehmet Dânâ, Chief of Staff Mustafa Ergüven, Protocol Department Director Asu Muhtaroğlu, Press and Public Relations Officer Tünay Mertekçi, and other officials.
