Tufan Erhürman Received in Official Ceremony by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
President Tufan Erhürman was welcomed with an official ceremony by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan as part of his Ankara visit. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Complex.
The event began with Erhürman’s official vehicle being received by mounted guards on the street in front of the Presidential Complex and escorted to the protocol gate. President Erdoğan then greeted Erhürman at the main entrance of the complex.
After taking their positions on the ceremonial grounds, the national anthem was played alongside a 21-gun salute. Erhürman saluted the ceremonial guard with the words “Hello, soldiers.” Flags representing the 16 historic Turkish states, along with accompanying soldiers, were also present at the ceremony.
Following the ceremonial reception, the two presidents posed for photographs in front of the Turkey and TRNC flags before proceeding to their meeting. The ceremony was also attended by Turkey’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
A press conference at the Presidential Complex is expected to follow the presidents’ meetings.
