PM Üstel: We Will Allow No Delays and No Weaknesses in Security
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, drawing attention to the Military Service (Amendment) Bill, said: “Our resolve is clear: We will allow no delays and no weaknesses in security.” Üstel made the statement in a post on social media after the bill was unanimously approved today in the General Assembly of the Republic’s Parliament.
Üstel said the decision marked “a historic step in the comprehensive reform process we launched to strengthen our security structure.”
He added that regulations long discussed but never implemented would no longer remain on the shelf.
“All legal steps concerning the security of our state will be completed one by one. Our resolve is clear: We will allow no delays and no weaknesses in security,” Üstel said.
