In a written announcement, the ministry said: “This agreement, signed while ignoring the sovereign and equal rights of the Turkish Cypriot people, is entirely null and void, just like previous agreements.” It added that the deal not only violates the legitimate rights and interests of the Turkish Cypriot community but also poses a risk of fundamentally destabilizing the already fragile balances in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The ministry stressed that it will not refrain from taking all necessary political, diplomatic, and technical measures to defend the equal rights of Northern Cyprus over natural resources.
