Over 1 Billion TL Collected from Fines in Nine Months
Citizens’ payments of various fines have generated over 1 billion Turkish Lira in revenue for the Ministry of Finance in the first nine months of 2025, with tax penalties contributing the largest share.
According to Halkın Sesi, fines paid across multiple sectors have provided a significant boost to the ministry’s coffers.
Of the fines collected, tax penalties accounted for 465 million TL, followed by court-imposed monetary fines at 71 million TL, and fixed radar fines contributing 27 million TL.
The Ministry of Finance’s revenue report shows that between January and September 2025, a total of 1.138 billion TL was collected from various fines. This means that for every 7 TL of revenue earned by the ministry during this period, 1 TL came from fines.
