MİK Head Released on Bail Amid Corruption Probe
Salih Canseç, the head of the Public Procurement Commission (MİK), has been released on bail pending trial after appearing once again before the Nicosia District Court as part of an ongoing investigation into bribery and misconduct in public office. Canseç had been arrested by financial police conducting the probe.
The court ordered his release under strict conditions, including a 150,000 TL cash bail, bail bonds signed by three guarantors worth 2 million TL each, a travel ban, and mandatory weekly check-ins with the police.
Canseç will remain free pending trial while the investigation continues.
