PM Undersecretary Detained for Questioning Amid Tender Commission Probe
Prime Ministry Undersecretary Hüseyin Cahitoğlu was taken into custody by police for questioning while attempting to leave the country as part of an investigation conducted by the Financial Police.
Cahitoğlu is reportedly wanted to give a statement in connection with the Central Tender Commission investigation.
Police are expected to issue a comprehensive statement on the matter.
After Cahitoğlu was summoned to the police for questioning earlier this morning, his office at the Prime Ministry is now also being searched.
A significant police presence has been observed at the Prime Ministry, and the possibility of further arrests remains on the agenda.
