PM Üstel Discharged from Hospital
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel was discharged yesterday after undergoing surgery at Near East University Hospital. Despite being on medical leave, Undersecretary of the State Planning Organization (DPÖ) Durali Güçlüsoy said Üstel has been monitoring developments related to the severe flooding on an hourly basis.
Güçlüsoy, speaking on KIBRIS TV’s Gün Ortası programme hosted by Elif Şen Çatal, provided information on the Prime Minister’s condition. He noted that Üstel was discharged from hospital at around 11 a.m. yesterday and is in good health.
He added that the Prime Minister has been closely following all updates concerning the flooding across the country and has been receiving hourly briefings from the relevant departments.
It was reported that although Üstel is resting, he continues to monitor the situation closely.
